Child, Adolescent, and Adult Counseling
Katherine Mullin, MMFT, IMFT-S,  LICDC-CS

Clinical Therapist

I am a dual licensed independent marriage and family therapist and chemical dependency counselor. I have over 5 years of experience working with individuals, families, and couples with varieties of issues. I specialize in the treatment of the aforementioned populations struggling with depression, anxiety, anger issues, trauma, addiction, and life event stressors. Because of my licensure, I am able to provide a unique approach to working with individuals (particularly teenagers), families, and couples that are struggling with substance abuse in some way, including MAT.

I work from a systemic viewpoint, encompassing all aspects of a person’s life, and utilize an integrative approach with particular emphasis on Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. With this approach, I am able to walk alongside clients as they rewrite their story, from a strength-based perspective that allows them to not dwell on negatives in life, process trauma in a healthy way, and look forward to the future.

I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from The Ohio State University in 2011, and a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse College in 2014, and am currently enrolled at Northcentral University in the PhD program for Marriage and Family Therapy, with an emphasis in medical family therapy. I have worked in an office setting, agency settings, and schools. I love to help people, especially from a mental and emotional perspective. I provide a warm and inviting setting for people to process issues, and help them to realize their true potential from many different aspects.
