Pamela Hirt, IMFT

Clinical Therapist

I'm a graduate of Seton Hill University with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy which means, as a therapist, I’m qualified to work with individuals, couples, and families. I returned to school as an “older” student to pursue a degree and training in something I’d been doing all my life: listening, observing, and helping others with their problems. I consider my age, wisdom, and varied life experiences to be a big asset in my life’s work.

Along with my education in systems (family) thinking, my work with clients will sometimes make it necessary to include information from their past. I believe past experiences inform how we:

-- perceive ourselves and others

-- think (and what we think about)

-- and (ultimately) behave

It’s not always necessary to review past experiences in therapy, but I feel including them aids in the therapeutic process by giving me a more comprehensive understanding of my client’s current problems and behavior.

The clients whom I’ve helped have come to therapy with issues of anxiety and depression, trauma and life-altering negative experiences, parenting difficulties, parental alienation, problematic relationships, and identifying as “adult” children from toxic families. I feel competent working with adults, parents, married couples, and families.

Pam is available via teletherapy only.
