I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-S) and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC-CS). I have over 20 years of experience working in behavioral health. I earned my Master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University. I specialize in working with adults with anxiety, depression, other mood disorders and substance use disorders. I also enjoy working with couples having relationship issues. I also specialize in working with family members whose loved one has a substance use disorder. I have years of experience working with children and adolescents with ADHD, anxiety, depression, other mood disorders and substance use disorders. I provide a solution-focused approach to working with my clients and their family members, to guide them toward personal insight and building skills to improve their lives.
Nora Wightman, MSW, LISW

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) who specializes in treating adults and adolescents who are struggling  with addiction or substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, thought disorders and relationship issues.  I earned my Master’s degree from The Ohio State University and I completed a post-graduate training at The Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio. 


I have worked in private practice, residential treatment, and community mental health settings.  I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).  I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) by the EMDR Institute which is utilize for trauma therapy.  I aim to empower my clients as they work through their current issues, while learning new coping skills and become conscious of their patterns of thinking. I will support and guide you as you grow, heal, and achieve your personal goals toward a more meaningful life.

I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families in assisting them work thought individual issues and accomplishing their goals.  I earned my Bachelors of Science Degree in Behavioral Science and Ethics from Mid-America Christian University. Counseling and helping others is my passion.  I predominantly utilize Cognitive Therapy to help client process and gain new insight and coping skills. I believe it is important to generate a warm and safe environment, allowing the client to feel safe, and open when making the necessary changes to improve their well-being.

resolving trauma and improving coping skills.
