Child, Adolescent, and Adult Counseling
Hillary Schmidt, MSW, LSW

Clinical Therapist

Hi there! I’m a Licensed Social Worker and I received my Master’s of Social Work from The Ohio State University. My experience includes working with a diverse population of children, adolescents, and their families within Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization and community-based settings. Within these settings I have aided individuals in managing difficulties such as suicidal ideation, self-harm, trauma, and emotional dysregulation. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, life transitions, and other mental health concerns.

My therapeutic approach includes utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. I recognize that each person brings their own background, experiences, and perspectives to therapy, and I strive to create a collaborative and respectful relationship with each of my clients.  I consider it a privilege to walk alongside those who are healing and I aim to provide a space where clients feel safe and comfortable, while helping them establish self-compassion, self-esteem and work towards positive change. Alongside offering traditional counseling, I can incorporate faith-based or Christian counseling at the request of a client.
