Jodi Robertson, BA, CT

Clinical Therapist Intern

Hello.  My name is Jodi Robertson and I come from a medical background that includes time working as a certified nursing assistant in both a hospice and non-hospice setting, an emergency room setting, and an oncology setting.

I have personally experienced and observed the effect of working in a high stress environment with daily exposure to trauma.  Sometimes, you just need to talk to someone who understands the hardships of these occupations and understands how to decrease stress and increase self-care so that we can continue to help others.  Additionally, many of my academic years were spent learning chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry, which gives me a unique understanding of how stress and trauma exposure can affect someone on a physiological level.

Because of my background, I have experience working with people dealing with grief; I am certified in trauma informed care.  I am well prepared to work with anyone from the ages of 16 and older and have a unique and personal understanding of neurodivergences such as Autism, ADHD, traumatic brain injuries, complex PTSD and PTSD, and have experience working with those living with depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and bipolar disorder.

I take a holistic and integrative approach to helping people not only survive but thrive.  I firmly believe that everyone is an individual and will need a therapist that is willing to tailor treatment to fit their client’s personal needs. Although I am newly certified as a Counselor Trainee, I know that my passion for helping others, alongside my professional and academic background, has properly prepared me to walk in tandem with my clients as we strive to thrive and live our best lives.
