School Therapist

Welcome – I’m Glad You’re Here! Hi, I’m Spencer, a School Therapist dedicated to supporting students’ mental health and emotional growth through compassion, connection, and evidence-based practices.

My journey into this field has been both personal and purposeful. I used to imagine how meaningful it would be to walk alongside someone during difficult times—and now, I get to do that every day in my work as a school-based therapist.

I earned my undergraduate and two graduate degrees from Capital University. As someone who once needed support but didn’t know where to turn, I’m deeply committed to being that safe and steady presence for students who may be feeling the same way.

Whether a student is dealing with anxiety, stress, social challenges, or just having a tough day, I believe they deserve to feel heard, valued, and supported. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based methods, and Motivational Interviewing (MI)—to help students understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I’m always learning and exploring new tools to better meet the needs of those I serve.

I tailor my approach to each student, whether we're working one-on-one, in small groups, or in the classroom. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive space where students feel free to be themselves, express what they’re going through, and build the skills they need to thrive.

Thanks for stopping by. Whether you're a student, parent, or staff member, I’m here to support our school community in any way I can.
