Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner,
Board Certified

If you are looking for psychiatric care that feels thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded — and you’re in the right place.
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing comprehensive psychiatric care and medication management for adults. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, ADHD, mood instability, sleep concerns, and co-occurring substance use disorders. I also have experience treating more complex mental health conditions, but my primary goal is helping you feel more stable, clear, and supported in your daily life.

Many of the people I work with are high-functioning on the outside but internally overwhelmed, exhausted, or feeling stuck. Others are working to untangle long-standing patterns shaped by trauma or chronic stress. I approach treatment with the understanding that symptoms are not weaknesses — they are often adaptations your nervous system developed to survive difficult experiences.

What sets me apart is my collaborative, team-based approach.
I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to dictate or override your autonomy — it’s to provide insight, education, and options so we can make thoughtful decisions together. Whether we are discussing coping strategies, behavioral patterns, or medication options (if applicable), you will always be part of the process.

Establishing trust is deeply important to me. That begins with creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and never judged. On day one, you can expect a conversation — not an interrogation. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you’ve already tried, what’s worked or hasn’t, and what you hope will be different. I move at your pace.

Medication management is an important part of my role, but it is never rushed or one-size-fits-all.
My approach is grounded in neuroscience and holistic assessment. I take time to understand your history, medical background, stress load, prior treatment experiences, and goals before making recommendations. You will never simply be told what to take — we review options, risks, benefits, and alternatives together. Your autonomy matters.

While medication can be a valuable tool, it is rarely the whole answer. When helpful, I integrate psychoeducation, brief therapeutic support, and nervous system regulation strategies into visits. I believe understanding the “why” behind your symptoms makes treatment more empowering and less intimidating.

Professional Background
My professional experience includes over six years as a board-certified psychiatric mental health RN at The Ohio State University Medical Center, followed by practicing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2023, working with individuals experiencing mental health and co-occurring substance use concerns. I earned my degree from The Ohio State University, where my training emphasized evidence-based psychiatric care with a strong foundation in neuroscience and trauma-informed treatment. I value a careful, safety-focused approach to prescribing.

When establishing care, you can expect a thorough and thoughtful initial evaluation. We will explore what brings you in, what you’ve tried before, what has or hasn’t worked, and what you hope will feel different. Follow-up visits are structured yet collaborative — we monitor progress, track symptoms and side effects, and adjust treatment as needed.

If you’re looking for a provider who listens carefully, explains the reasoning behind treatment decisions, and works alongside you, I would be honored to partner with you in your care.

Please note: I do not prescribe controlled substances at this time.
