Melisssa Grooms, M.Ed, LPC

Clinical Therapist

Hello! I am a licensed professional counselor with experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I strive to meet my clients where they are at in their life journey to address their personal and unique needs. I see individuals struggling with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal relationship stressors, and adjustment to life transitions. I create a safe and supportive environment for my clients and emphasize a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude.

I earned a B.A. in communication studies and a B.S. in psychology from Otterbein University and I received my M.S.Ed for Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton. I provide an integrative and inclusive approach to counseling utilizing Person-Centered, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, and Strength-Based techniques. I work alongside my clients to help them gain insight, develop skills, and recognize their own resilience and strengths to overcome challenges.

I understand that seeking help can be an intimidating and vulnerable step. It is my mission to empower you throughout the therapy process and promote your continued growth, healing, and success. Together, I believe that we can explore strategies that work best for you and make a positive change.
