Jasmine Harris, BA

MSW Intern

Hello, I am looking forward to establishing a great rapport with the staff and students at Cornerstone and building upon those relationships. I firmly believe in the alignment of mind, body, and spirit; understanding these ideas helps to create peace and balance within. I provide a safe, understanding, non-judgmental space for all.

I utilize different grounding and mindfulness techniques to inform, encourage, and help guide you to a path of healing. In counseling, I am interested in using multiple therapeutic techniques such as CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), person-centered therapy, behavior therapy, and group therapy. I have personally experienced each of these techniques and know that they have effective results.

I am a United States Army veteran, I served 6 years in the military including a tour in Afghanistan. I am earning my Master of Social Work from Cleveland State University and previously earned my Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Cleveland State and am currently in my internship placement.

There is healing in looking inward in order to help the outward. As humans, we have a tendency to forget about ourselves, but we all have a story. Give yourself grace and compassion as you reflect on your story. It is easy to get lost in giving ourselves to the needs of everyone else and losing who we are in the process. I look forward to working with you and helping you along your healing journey.
