Tara Mick, BS, SWT

Clinical Therapist Intern

I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) from a strengths-based approach.  I received my bachelor’s from Ohio State in Human Development and Family Science and am well-prepared to address issues regarding and surrounding the family.  I am in the process of finishing my master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from The Ohio State University.

You can trust I will be warm, supportive and safe for your treatment needs.  I am experienced working with older adults, walking through issues of life transition, loneliness, anxiety and depression. I am also experienced and passionate about working with young adults, walking through issues of normative and non-normative stress, anxiety, and depression.  I practice and will counsel through the lens of a Christian.  I believe your life has purpose and value, and therefore will encourage you towards self-worth, improving positive coping skills and improving your internal serenity.  My goal is to help you accomplish your personal goals and begin the healing process. I will look for ways to challenge you, stretch you, and help you grow.
